Alaska Violent Crimes Compensation Board
The Violent Crimes Compensation Board reimburses innocent victims of violent crime for crime-related expenses such as medical and dental treatment, mental health services, lost wages, relocation, security, crime scene cleanup, and funeral costs. - Report the crime to law enforcement.
- Create an account and complete the application online, or download the PDF application from the Board website.
- Submit the application by mail, secure email, or fax along with supporting documentation such as bills and receipts.
- Call (907) 465-3040 or toll free (800) 764-3040 with questions about a claim.
Deadline: Open an application within two years of when the crime occurred. If the crime occurred more than two years ago, you may still apply and provide an explanation for the delay. (Fixed deadline)
