Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. (CLASI)
CLASI is Delaware's oldest and largest civil legal aid organization, providing free civil legal help to people with low incomes, people with disabilities, people age 60 and older, and victims of violence and crime. Its Domestic Violence Unit helps survivors of family, intimate partner, and sexual violence with civil restraining orders, known as Protection From Abuse (PFA) orders, and related matters. CLASI provides free representation in PFA cases in Kent and Sussex Counties; survivors in New Castle County are referred to Delaware Volunteer Legal Services. CLASI has offices in Wilmington, Dover, and Georgetown.
