Louisville Domestic Violence Intake Center
The Domestic Violence Intake Center is a public, courthouse-based office in Louisville where survivors can get help filing for an Emergency Protective Order, a Temporary Interpersonal Protective Order, or a criminal complaint. Staff help survivors complete the petition for a protective order and provide support through the court process, along with safety planning, advocacy, and referrals to counseling, social services, and legal help. The center is open 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. Other Kentucky counties operate their own protective order intake and victim advocacy offices.
