Maryland Adult Protective Services

Adult Protective Services investigates reports that a vulnerable adult is being abused, neglected, self-neglecting, or financially or sexually exploited, and is unable to protect their own interests. Maryland uses a statewide 24-hour reporting line, 1-800-917-7383 (1-800-91-PREVENT), that routes to the local department of social services, and reports can also be made directly to the local department where the adult lives. If an adult is in immediate danger, call 911.
