Maryland Legal Aid (Protective Order and Family Safety Help)
Maryland Legal Aid provides free civil legal services to financially eligible Marylanders from offices statewide, including help for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and elder abuse with protective orders and related custody, housing, and benefits matters. Survivors can apply online or call the statewide intake line at 1-888-465-2468. The Maryland People's Law Library (peoples-law.org) also offers free self-help information on protective and peace orders.
