Minnesota Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting (MN Child Abuse Reporting)
In Minnesota, reports of suspected child abuse or neglect are made to the local county or tribal social services agency or to law enforcement. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. Anyone who suspects a child is being maltreated can report, and reports can be anonymous; the reporter's identity is kept confidential. Mandated reporters must report immediately, and no later than 24 hours, after they suspect maltreatment, and follow up in writing within 72 hours. The Minnesota Department of Human Services maintains a directory of county and tribal child protection intake numbers.
