Mississippi Office Against Interpersonal Violence (VOCA Victim Assistance)

The Office Against Interpersonal Violence (OAIV) at the Mississippi State Department of Health is the state administrator for the federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) victim assistance grant. It awards and oversees subgrants to local programs that provide direct services to crime victims, develops certification and reporting standards for domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking victim service providers, and supports prevention. This office funds the programs that serve survivors rather than serving survivors directly.
