Nevada Victims of Crime Program (VOCP)
The Victims of Crime Program helps victims of violent crime in Nevada with crime-related costs that cannot otherwise be paid. To qualify, a person must be a victim of a violent crime in Nevada involving physical injury, the threat of physical injury, or death, and certain family members of a deceased victim may also be eligible. The crime must have been reported to police, child protective services, or another proper authority within 5 days, unless the victim was physically or mentally unable to report in that time. The program is administered by the Victim Services Unit of the Division of Child and Family Services.

Victims of violent crime in Nevada, including survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, and certain family members, who have an economic loss not covered by another source.

How to apply
- Report the crime to police, child protective services, or another proper authority, generally within 5 days of the crime unless you were physically or mentally unable to report in that time.
- Get an application in English or Spanish from the Victims of Crime Program website, or request one be mailed to you by calling 702-486-2740.
- Complete and sign the application and include supporting documents such as a police report, bills, and receipts whenever possible.
- Submit the completed application by mail or email to the address listed on the application.
- A victim advocate, domestic violence program, or rape crisis program can help you apply for free.
Deadline: The application must be submitted to the program within two years of the crime. Minor victims of sexual assault, molestation, or pornography have until age 21 to file an application. Check current deadlines with the program. (Fixed deadline)
