South Dakota Attorney General Crime Victim Services
State victim services program that helps South Dakota crime victims navigate the criminal justice system and connects them with resources. Victim Witness Specialists assigned to regions across the state work directly with victims and witnesses. The Attorney General also administers the SAVIN automated victim notification system, which provides offender custody status and court information, and supports crime victim rights under Marsy's Law (Constitutional Amendment S, passed in 2016).
