Virginia Adult Protective Services

Adult Protective Services investigates reports that an adult age 60 or older, or an incapacitated adult age 18 or older, is being abused, neglected, or financially exploited. Virginia operates a statewide 24-hour APS Hotline at 1-888-832-3858 backed by local departments of social services, and reports can also be made online. If an adult is in immediate danger, call 911.
