Wisconsin Safe at Home Address Confidentiality Program (WI Safe at Home)
Safe at Home is Wisconsin's statewide address confidentiality program. It gives survivors a legal substitute (assigned) address to use for both public and private purposes and forwards mail to the participant's real address at no cost, helping keep the participant's actual location out of records. Enrollment is done with the help of a trained Application Assistant who can also help with safety planning. The program is administered by the Department of Justice and governed by Wisconsin Statute section 165.68.
Who it is for
Wisconsin residents who are victims of domestic abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, stalking, or trafficking, parents or guardians of a victim, people who live with a victim, or others who fear for their physical safety and who keep their actual address unknown to the person they fear.
